Anime North 2008!!! My first convention as a cosplayer. I was the Kairi running around with the bright neon hair. Not much of a con report, since I’ve never done one of these things before, but I’ll give it my best shot.

Saturday:
- Finished my Chinese exam, and quickly hopped down to the TCC. Was kinda sad that my Naminé and Sora were both missing, but I had a ton of fun that I didn’t mind too much.
- Met up with ~Novitano, Kev and Dave. Scary old-man Aang and cute Sakura/Syaoran at the cosplay chess!!
- Stalked people with AMAZING costumes in the Dealer’s Room. Got a picture with gorgeous Riku and Sora separately, and then heard that earlier on in the morning they got it on in front of a whole crowd of people during the KH group photo. YAOI PADDLE PLZ.
- Went nuts over everybody’s artwork over at Artist’s Alley. Picked up a little of everything, and dropped by the Cawthra table, but sadly didn’t get to meet ~shumasaharu. >__> Btw, I brought your last Ike keychain~!
- Went hat-crazy. Novi rather liked his Dumberdore one, while Kev geeked out with his Cactar hat and Dave looked like a Chinese tourist with his. Kairi tried on all hats, even the little funny headband one that looks cute but has absolutely no use. Those are WIN .
Sunday:
- Spent a while hunting for Spec Ops. Todd’s mom, stop hiding, we know you’re in the back!!!
- Patrolled around, but just generally goofed off. Creepy staff guy/stalker = not fun. Nononoes. D=<
- Vic went missing around this time, so Dave went off to look for her while Novi and I meandered around:
- Mechayard Wars, and Ed the Sock. That was some crazy SICK stuff, and I got a picture with a HalloweenTown Sora and Ed’s pretty assistant while I was at it. ^^ Oh, and the Brokeback Mecha boys were much love too.
- More costume stalking, but my camera was already emitting smoke so I took a break and started book-hunting. Kudos to David for buying me that screentones book!
- A Naruto-pickpocket was running around, so we spent some time looking for him. Couldn’t Spec Ops have been more specific? >=[

Random stuff:

A lot of people as I passed by called out “Hi Kairi~!”, which was pretty cool, but a little awkward because I froze and didn’t know how to respond. Fun stuff, though.
I managed to force two friends cosplaying as Zuko and Katara to get some Zutara-action!! ^_____________^ *fangirls* Oh, and we saw an amazing Aang and Uncle Iroh hanging around. And many Tophs. Many, many Tophs.
Master Roshi was MASTER ROSHI. That is all.
